We are always looking for:

  • 3-12 month sizes of woollen vests, cardigans, beanies and booties

  • Burp cloths, bibs, play mats and wipes

  • Wool beanies for all sizes adults and children

  • Wool gloves and slippers for youths and adults

  • Scarfs for adults

  • Knitted Knockers of all sizes

Right now we’re especially looking for:

Baby booties and singlets will be our biggest requests over the next few months.

We are also requesting more adult beanies.

Anything warm will be used as winter is here so please keep crafting. Warm, cuddly and comforting items will be snatched up and hugely appreciated.

Knitted Knockers

Knitted Knockers are lightweight breast forms used by those who have had a mastectomy due to breast cancer.

There are several patterns available for different knitting styles.

These small hearts are a favourite. Cute, sentimental and always appreciated they’re a relaxing project that packs a punch

Marianna’s Lazy Daisy Days

Marianna has many patterns available on her site, to purchase or for free. We love her scarves, fingerless gloves, hand warmers, wrist warmers and ear warmers. She also has a huge variety of gorgeous beanies, baby cardigans, blankets and some extra fun items such as teethers.

Creative Fibre

Creative Fibre is the New Zealand Spinning, Weaving and Woolcrafts Society Inc. Their members have made some patterns available for free. We especially love the Baby singlet!

  • 100% wool or 100% cotton blankets in excellent quality, which have been well-washed can be cut into rectangular baby blanket sizes then trimmed with a bright cotton border/binding.

    Sizes: Can be flexible and depends on the condition of the blankets.

    ·         Pram/ bassinet blanket - 70 x 90 cm up to 90 x 100 cm approximately (28”x36” or 36”x40”)

    ·         Cot blanket - 100 x 115 cm up to 115 x 125 cm approximately (40”x46” or 46”x 50”)

  • Materials:

    100% wool or wool blended with natural fibres

    Sizes:

    ·         Pram/ bassinet blanket - 70 x 90 cm or 90 x 100 cm approximately  (28”x36” or 36”x40”)

    ·         Cot blanket - 100 x 115 cm or 115 x 125 cm  (40”x46” or 46”x 50”)

    ·         A multipurpose pram/bassinet/cot blanket of about 80 x 100 cm also works well. (32” x40”)
